Come and join our annual Chinese New Year Celebrations and Spectacular Dragon Parade in Manchester's City Centre on 1st and 2nd February 2025.

This years celebrations promise to be a dazzling display of traditional and contemporary Chinese culture featuring our legendary Dragon Parade through the city streets.

The event starts at 12pm on Saturday 1st February 2025 in Chinatown carpark and the first day will feature a food market and stage performances with highlights being appearances from our famous Night Dragon at 6:30pm and 7:30pm. The event will close at 10pm.

Sunday 2nd February 2025 will see the continuation of the food market and stage performances in Chinatown with the Dragon Parade starting with a ceremony on Oxford Street at 12pm before making its way up Portland Street and into Chinatown via Charlotte Street. The dragon will leave Chinatown via Faulkner Street for a final dance on Princess Street.

The area is expected to be very busy during the Dragon Parade (12pm-2pm on Sunday) so those wishing to avoid the crowds are advised to time their visit to avoid this period.

We will be recruiting volunteers to participate in dancing our Record Breaking Illuminated Dragon through Chinatown at 6:30pm on Sunday before the event concludes at 8pm.
